Springfield Days, June 2 – 5, 2011

The annual Springfield Days is a community-wide celebration that takes place the weekend after Memorial Day each year in the heart of Springfield, Virginia. Movie Night and Cardboard Boat Regatta at Lake Accotink Park and the Run are just a few activities taking place throughout this event. The 2nd Annual Springfield 15K / 5K: Springfield’s Hometown Race

Whether you run, walk, or volunteer, or just come out to cheer the runners on, this is a great opportunity to support your community while having a good time with family and friends. This is the Springfield 15K/5K, run on the Saturday morning of the Springfield Days weekend. Board of Directors 2011–2012 Elections

Elections of the 2011–2012 Board of Directors were held. Refer to the 2011 May Minutes on the Member Meetings webpage for the names of new Board members. The former SCA President, Tawny Hammond, was recognized by the SCA and numerous elected officials for her 10 years of volunteer service to the SCA as President, and the Springfield community through her involvement with SCA initiatives.
